Making a blog is our project for the 1st Quarter. Well, it is fun and shows off your creativity.And..this is my first time, and i've learned a lot from creating one.

Microsoft Word

I guess most of us know what Microsoft Word is, but for some people's sake i'll explain it. 

 

Microsoft Word (MS Word) is one of the Microsoft Office Applications.It is the most used one actually since it is a word processor. It is used in making documents such as homework,certificates,cards,etc.

Encryption

Do you have any idea how computers understand what we type or command? Umm...it,s actually because of Encryption. Encryption is the encoding of messages that will keep your file safe because only authorized parties can understand it.Cool isn't it?

Data Compression

Data Compression is the compressing of data so that it will occupy lesser space than usual.You can usually do this when downloading games that take up large space.

File Formats

Ok..so..do you guys know what .docx , .exe , .jpeg are called?
Well they are known as File Formats.Now my dear fellows a file format is a standard way that information is encoded for storage in a computer file. It specifies how bits are used to encode information in a digital storage medium. (according to wikipedia)

Text-based Navigation

Command prompt

In text-based navigation, we use the command prompt.Now I guess you are wondering, what is a command prompt? Well..according to http://pcsupport.about.com it is a command line interpreter application available in most Windows operating systems. 

GUI Based Navigation

Graphical User Interface (GUI) allows users to interact with electronic devices through graphical icons and visual indicators such as secondary notation, as opposed to text-based interfaces, typed command labels or text navigation. GUIs were introduced in reaction to the perceived steep learning curve of command-line interfaces (CLIs),which require commands to be typed on the keyboard.
